19.08.2009
Under the guidance of the Basel rheumatologist Dr. Michael Gengenbach the recruit school Liestal studied the occurrence of back pain. Objectives of the study are the assessment of back health and the back prophylaxis. The study, which began in March, lasts one year and also includes the recruits of the summer and winter school 2009 recruits. It aims to provide representative information about back pain in young adults.
1200 recruits volunteered to take part. One third of them passed a special five-minute back exercise program on the Galileo. The other recruits act as a control group. The objective quantification of training success is determined by using the force plate Leonardo mechanography GRFP.
