Novotec Medical GmbH new partner of the DRV

Novotec Medical GmbH is the new partner of the German Rugby Federation (DRV). The Pforzheim based company will make special training equipment available to the DRV. The collaboration will initially run for two years.

"The goal is to make a contribution to ensure that the players are getting even fitter and the rehabilitation time after injuries is shortened,“ said Novotec spokesman Christian Baur. The exercise equipment that is used by the national team is "a custom made Galileo Fitness", said the sports scientist. “It was important that players can train with a large and powerful machine, without being hindered by a support stand or similar."

Vibration training devices of the brand Galileo were filed for a patent in 1996. They are exclusively produced by Novotec Medical GmbH in Germany and distributed worldwide. The product quality is ensured by a TÜV-monitored quality management system for medical devices according to ISO 13485:2003. The German national team accordingly trains with a patented original made in Germany.

The training devices have recently been introduced in a coach instruction course and will be presented to the the representatives of the societies organised in DRV at the extraordinary German Rugby Day (ADRT) on 29 January 2011 in Heusenstamm.

"We look forward to the collaboration with Novotec Medical GmbH, and hope that we make this another step in the right direction, " said Vice President Christian Düncher DRV.
