Improved COVID-19-Rehabilitation with Galileo Therapy at the Schön Clinic Berchtesgadener Land
10.09.2020
The Schön Clinic Berchtesgadener Land is one of the leading clinics for rehabilitation of severe COVID-19 patients especially after artificial respiration. The report of the HEUTE Journal (one of the major national German television channels) shows this effort at the example of two patients.
For their rehabilitation concept the clinic uses the results of the research they did on Galileo Therapy for patients with chronic lung diseases (like COPD). As a result of these studies they could show in several research publications which tremendous additional benefit for muscle, performance and lung function the addition of Galileo Therapy to their rehabilitation concept added.
As early as April 2020 international experts saw this beneficial potential of Galileo Therapy for COVID-19 acute therapy in intensive care units as well as for later rehabilitation. A group of the World Association of Vibration Exercise Experts (WAVex) including one of the researchers of the clinic, recommended the use of vibration therapy for acute COVID-19 therapy as well as for rehabilitation.* Background for this recommendation were several Galileo Therapy studies in diseases with similar symptoms as observed in COVID-19 patients.
