Innovation Award for Rehabilitation Concept

Novotec Medical has been working for many years in close cooperation with the expert team led by Professor Schönau at the University Hospital of Cologne and the Medifitreha. Central aspect is the development of a new rehabilitation approach based on the Galileo vibration technology for children and young people with musculo-skeletal disorders. We are pleased that the resulting concept "Back on your feet," was awarded now with the German Innovation Prize in health care.

Within the context of integrated care results of clinical research have been successfully realised into a new concept of the routine care of children and young people with movement disorders. Innovative aspect of this concept, in addition to the integration of Galileo whole body vibration is a new type of interval therapy, which allows dovetailing training units in the centre and at home. The scientific monitoring serves the quality assurance of continuous improvement and adjustment of therapy to the needs of patients.

The Innovation Award will be assigned to the concept, the team of staff, patients and their families as well as to the cost unit to lend fresh impetus to the rehabilitation of children and adolescents with the project "Back on your feet".

The German Innovation Award in the health sector is annually awarded by the Bavarian Landesbank and reviewed by a national panel of experts.
