Galileo® in paediatrics

For children and adolescents Galileo Therapy provides a varied, dynamic and relatively new method of therapy. An area of focus is a coordinated interdisciplinary approach for the treatment of children and youngsters with musculo-skeletal disorders such as Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) or Spina Bifida (open spine) in accordance with the treatment approach of the Cologne interval rehabilitation that UniReha GmbH, in cooperation with the University Hospital of Cologne, is offering.

Why Galileo®?

Side alternating Galileo therapy is used to bring in a new stimulus to therapy. The short therapy sessions ensure focus remains high amongst children and adolescents.

Back on your feet.

Under the slogan "Back on your feet" children and adolescents are treated at the University Hospital of Cologne under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Schoenau using a concept of integrated care.

Therapy at home.

In addition to traditional physical therapy, Galileo is an important component of this approach. This concept is not like other approaches which end after a few inpatient treatment units, but, is continued at home. To this end, the participants of this concept can continue the Galileo training at home in order to achieve the greatest possible therapy success.
